Boris Kirkin
M.D., Ph.D, Professor of Medicine, GMS Clinic Chief Medical Officer
In 1967-1981 worked at the Moscow Medical Institute named after Pirogov at the Chair of Hospital Therapy. He studied heart rhythm abnormalities pathogenesis of patients with cronic coronary heart disease. In 1973 obtained his PhD.
At that time he was also working on the problem of treating inflammatory lungs diseases. In 1981-1997 Boris Kirkin was Head of the Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease Treatment Chair at the Institute of Coloproctology affiliated with the RF Public Health Ministry.
In 1990 presented his doctorate thesis dedicated to the treatment policy of difficult cases of inflammatory large gut diseases. In 1992 received the Professor degree.
He contributed more than 250 publications to medical and science journals, he has 12 authorship certificates of invention, is also the author of 12 medical study guides.
Over the last10 years he has taken an active part in organizing the treatment process in many of the well-known private medical centers in Moscow.
In 1996 founded the in-patient department in Medicina, JSC. From 2001 was Chief Medical Officer in European Medical Center. In 2004 – 2008 was Chief Medical Officer of the National Medical Service. In 2008 became Chief Medical Officer of GMS Clinic.
